Plug Fan

Plug fans are versatile, high-efficiency fans commonly used in industrial applications for process air handling, ventilation, and dust collection. Designed without scroll housings, plug fans can be installed directly into a plenum or ductwork, which makes them ideal for space-saving installations and retrofit projects. Plug fans are typically used in HVAC systems, cleanroom environments, drying systems, and other applications where precise control of airflow is critical. Their backward-inclined blades offer efficient air movement with lower energy consumption, while the open construction facilitates easy maintenance.

Things to Consider When Buying Plug Fans

When purchasing plug fans, first consider the airflow capacity (CFM) required to efficiently ventilate or move air through your system. Also think about the static pressure the fan can handle since this affects how well the fan can overcome resistance in the system. If the plug fan will be used in a high-heat environment, make sure the temperature range accommodates operation at extreme temperatures. Keep in mind fan size and the available space for installation, as well as environmental conditions like humidity or corrosive elements.
