Radial Blower

Radial blowers, also known as centrifugal blowers, are selected for applications because of their ability to generate high-pressure airflow. Unlike axial blowers that move air along the axis of the fan, radial blowers force air perpendicular to the intake, creating high static pressure, making them ideal for environments where long duct runs, high resistance, or heavy particulate matter is involved. They are widely used in dust collection, pneumatic conveying, ventilation, and combustion air systems. Radial blowers are typically made from durable materials to handle harsh environments, including high temperatures and corrosive conditions. They are effective for handling of dirty or contaminated air, making them a reliable choice for chemical processing, manufacturing, and waste management.

Things to Consider When Buying Radial Blowers

When specifying radial blowers for industrial applications, consider several key factors to ensure the blower meets your operational needs. You will need to assess the airflow capacity (CFM) and static pressure required. Radial blowers are designed to handle high-pressure systems, which are ideal for long duct runs or high-resistance processes. Also, keep in mind the temperature range the blower will be exposed to, particularly if it will be used in high-temperature environments – choose materials and finishes accordingly. Take into account the fan size and space constraints as well.
